CBSE uses a multiplier of 9.5 to convert CGPA into percentage. The formula is:

Percentage (%) = CGPA × 9.5

Why 9.5? CBSE analyzed the score distribution of students scoring 91-100 marks (average 95), hence 95 ÷ 10 = 9.5 multiplier is used as the official national standard.
